NNA - Caretaker Minister of Education, Abbas Al-Halabi, on Thursday inspected the the educational districts in Sidon, as well as Al-Sadr Foundation in Tyre. 

In response to a question regarding the start of the new scholastic year, Al-Halabi said: "We are determined to resume scholastic education, and today I’ve signed a decision with instructions to school principals to start the school registration process as of September 15, 2022, provided that the scholastic year kicks off in October.

Moreover, the Education Minister stressed that private schools have been warned against collecting tuition fees in fresh USD and pledged punitive legal measures against those who do so “as it’s against the law.”

“What concerns me the most is that not a single student remains outside the classroom,” he added, noting that schools have no right to confiscate student affidavits for financial reasons.
