9:00 am The Faculty of Religious and Human Sciences and the Center for Research in Human and Religious Sciences at Al-Maaref University inaugurates the fourth international conference titled "Empowering the Family: The Social Foundation of Human Civilization," in the conference hall at the university - Building C, behind Al-Rasoul Al-Azam Hospital.
9:00 am Seminar titled "Practical Steps Towards an Integrated Social Protection System in Lebanon," organized by the Lebanese Union for the Physically Disabled, at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Verdun, with the participation of Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar, as well as several human rights activists, stakeholders, representatives from international organizations, and organizations for the disabled, as part of the "Integrated Social Protection in Lebanon" project, which includes a coalition of eight organizations.
9:30 am The Arab Banks Union opens the "Arab Economic Security Forum Amidst Geopolitical Changes," under the patronage of Prime Minister Najib Mikati, at the Venezia Hotel in Beirut. The forum will continue for two days.
9:30 am The Faculty of Business Administration at the Holy Spirit University of Kaslik, in partnership with the Monte Ahuja College of Business at Cleveland State University and the School of Business at the American University in Cairo, hosts the third edition of the Entrepreneurship Conference titled "Unleashing Entrepreneurial Excellence: Navigating Success in a Dynamic World."
10:00 am The National Council for Scientific Research organizes the 21st annual Science Fair at the Lebanese University Campus in Hadath, under the patronage of Prime Minister Najib Mikati. The exhibition of scientific projects will continue until 6:00 p.m. at the Faculty of Science cafeteria.
10:15 am The Canadian Embassy, the Ministry of Agriculture, and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations in Lebanon organize the final workshop of the project "Supporting Cooperatives and Women's Associations in the Food and Agriculture Sector in Lebanon," funded by the Government of Canada, as part of the Canada-Lebanon Partnership Forum on Agriculture and Food Security, at the Radisson Blu Martinez Hotel, under the patronage and presence of Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Abbas Hajj Hassan. The workshop includes a presentation of key achievements and challenges in the project, a discussion with beneficiaries, and a workshop on project sustainability.
11:00 am A general session hosted by Speaker of the House Nabih Berri at the Parliament to discuss two urgent draft laws: the first aims to extend the term of existing municipal and mayoral councils until a maximum date of May 31, 2025, presented by MP Jihad Samad, and the second aims to specify the law applicable to volunteers serving in the Civil Defense, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 289/2014 and Law No. 59/2017, presented by MPs Jihad Samad, Ali Hassan Khalil, Ibrahim Kanaan, Amin Cherri, Tony Frangieh, and Hassan Murad.
5:00 pm Seminar titled "Wages and Social Protection," organized by the National Federation of Workers and Employees in Lebanon (FENASOL), at its headquarters in Wata El-Museitbeh - Beirut, featuring a speech by the Chairman of the Parliamentary Health and Labor Committee, Dr. Bilal Abdullah, and a presentation by the International Information Researcher, Mohammad Shamseddine.
6:00 pm Opening of the Leather Crafts Week organized by Badguer, under the patronage of Minister of Industry George Boujikian at the Cinema Royal - Burj Hammoud, continuing for two days from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. It will also take place at the Badguer Center on April 27, 28, 29, and 30, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
