NNA - On Monday, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit welcomed the resolution adopted by the UN Security Council calling for an immediate ceasefire in the Gaza Strip during the holy month of Ramadan.

Aboul Gheit said, in his post, “I welcome the Security Council’s recent adoption of a ceasefire resolution in Gaza,” adding: “The adoption of this resolution was long overdue, and what is now required is that it be implemented on the ground.”
