NNA - The head of the Palestinian Bar Association, Fadi Abbas, confirmed that appointing Muhammad Mustafa to form a new government came in response to the provisions of the Basic Law in light of the resignation of Muhammad Shtayyeh’s government, according to the Palestinian News Agency, "Wafa".

Abbas explained in an interview with "Voice of Palestine" on Saturday, that Mustafa has 3 weeks which can be extended for an additional two weeks to form his government, following the provisions of the Basic Law.

He stressed that "the tasks of the new government will be extremely difficult, due to the genocidal war against our people in the Gaza Strip, and the complete war in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem."
