NNA - After casting his vote in his hometown of Taraya, Minister of Public Works and Transport Ali Hamieh considered that “voting in the elections is a natural right for every Lebanese, which he/she must exercise with all responsibility and a sense of patriotism."

He added: “From here, my vote today was for everyone who works to defend the dignity of the people and the country, and for everyone who rejects the rentier economy and works to revive the productive economy...and everyone who works to establish a political, economic, financial and administrative optimal option in the interest of building the state and restoring its wellbeing.”

Hamieh continued to emphasize that “the vote is a responsibility which ought to be given to everyone who has confidence in Lebanon and its future, and to everyone who works to boost its elements of strength so that we can invest our resources and defend them fully...and to everyone who supports the strengthening and activation of relations with brotherly and friendly states, and all countries of the world except for the Israeli enemy, under the rooftop of exclusive national sovereignty.”

"A vote must be given to everyone who believes in reforms through the executive and legislative authorities, and reform is a cornerstone of Lebanon's renaissance," Hamieh concluded.
