President Aoun: A citizen cannot be impartial on a fundamental issue related to choosing a system of government

NNA - President of the Republic, General Michel Aoun, called on the Lebanese to go to polling stations and cast their votes.

“Because a citizen cannot be impartial in a fundamental issue related to choosing the system of government” the President said.

President Aoun's positions came after he voted this morning, in the Haret Hreik Social Center.

The President had arrived with the first Lebanese Lady, Mrs. Nadia Shami Aoun, at the polling station, where he was met with applause and cheers from the voters who gathered in front of the center.

A girl presented a bouquet of flowers to the President, before he went to the polling station for men, while the first Lebanese Lady went to the polling station for women.

After voting, President Aoun said:

“Voting is the duty of every citizen. A citizen cannot be impartial in a major issue that is essential in choosing the system of government.

Every 4 years the citizen experiences a stage during which he can distinguish between who accomplished between deputies, and who did not accomplish anything.

We wish everyone, especially family members who have not yet voted, please go to the polls”.

Afterwards, President Aoun and the first Lebanese Lady left the polling station, and returned to Baabda Palace.
