NNA - 14,950 Lebanese employees in charge of polling stations, as well as assistants in Sunday’s parliamentary elections have been casting their ballots since 7:00 am on Thursday. 

The polls opened in presence of the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM), LADE Association, and representatives of candidates. 

The balloting process is taking place in a calm atmosphere amid stringent security measures by the Lebanese Army and the Internal Security Forces, who are deployed near polling stations.
