In a powerful speech which was announced to be delivered only Sunday morning in Hezbollah’s statement, Sayyed Nasrallah emphasized the resistance’s determination to respond to the aggression on the southern suburbs of Beirut and the martyrdom of Military Commander Sayyed Fuad Shokr and several civilians, highlighting that the resistance had been prepared to respond from the first day of Sayyed Mohsen’s martyrdom, noting that the response is an integral part of the punishment. His eminence explained that the resistance needed time to evaluate whether the response should be coordinated across the entire axis or handled by individual fronts. They also waited to allow negotiations a chance, aiming to halt the aggression against Gaza. He pointed out that the negotiations have been protracted, with [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu imposing new conditions on the resistance in Gaza. “The delay in the operation was caused by American and Israeli mobilization, and this delay also served as a form of punishment for the enemy. We delayed our response to allow sufficient time for the ongoing negotiations concerning Gaza,” Sayyed Nasrallah said. Announcing the name of the large-scale military operation as “Operation Arbaeen Day” to commemorate its occurrence on this significant day, which holds profound historical importance, Sayyed Nasrallah outlined the criteria for the response, stating that it should not target civilians or infrastructure but rather focus on military targets related to the assassination operation, such as intelligence bases or air force facilities. Targets were to be situated very close to Tel Aviv. “We established guidelines for our response, ensuring that targets would not be civilians or enemy infrastructure, but rather military sites directly linked to the assassination operation.” Among the identified targets was the “Galilot” base, a central intelligence base housing Unit 8200, located 11 kilometers from the Lebanese border and only 1,500 meters from Tel Aviv. “We have identified the “Galilot” base as a primary target for Operation Arbaeen Day. This base houses Unit 8200, which specializes in intelligence gathering, eavesdropping, and espionage. It is situated 110 kilometers from the Lebanese border and just 1,500 meters from the border of Tel Aviv,” the S.G. pointed. Subsequently, at 11:00 am, the Islamic Resistance continued its strategic operations by targeting a residence within the Al-Manara settlement, where Israeli enemy soldiers were stationed. Employing two guided missiles, they achieved precise hits on the designated target. Also at 11:00, the Islamic Resistance fighters launched a precise operation targeting an assembly of Israeli enemy soldiers situated near the Al-Rahib and Tal Shaar sites. NNA - Sidon - The joint Palestinian security force in Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp completed its deployment at the schools’ complex in the Al-Tawaree area - Al-Taameer Al-Tahtani and Al-Fawqani Street, Bustan Al-Quds, where it set out at 2.00 pm from its headquarters on Al-Tahtani Street, accompanied by members of the Palestinian Joint Action Authority and the Commander of the Joint Force, Major General Mahmoud Al-Ajouri.  They were divided into two forces, one of which went in the direction of Al-Taameer Al-Tawaree, and the second took the direction of the Bustan al-Quds Street, where they entered the school complex and completely evacuated it of the militants of the Fatah movement and the Muslim Youth Gathering, and they positioned themselves in front of it. This practical step would reassure the people and motivate them to return to their homes, after everyone showed flexibility and positivity to end everything that would bring tension back to the camp. In addition, the spokesman for the Palestinian National Security Forces in the Sidon region, Youssef Al-Zari’i, said: “Our forces carried out the evacuation of Al-Samou’ School and the camp director’s office in conjunction with the withdrawal of terrorist groups from the schools of Bisan, Safad, and Naqoura. NNA - The Joint Palestinian Force on Monday began implementing the first step en route to re-establishing security in Ain al-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp through its deployment across contact points. This step aims to eliminate tension and reassure people upon their return to their homes inside the camp.  Member of the Palestinian Joint Action Committee in Sidon, and Democratic Front official in Ain al-Hilweh, Fouad Othman, said, “This is the first step (...) to be followed with a second one, which is the withdrawal of militants from schools to be handed over to the Relief Agency - UNRWA, with the aim of re-constructing them (…).”  He appealed to relief agencies to secure the necessary funds to restore what had been destroyed by clashes. Othman then stressed the camp’s unwavering support for the right of return.“All the plots that have been designed to end the camp will fail; everyone must understand that Ain Al-Hilweh camp is not mailbox for any party,” he added.  Othman concluded: “The extradition of those accused of the assassination of Brigadier General Abu Ashraf Al-Armushi, his companions, and Abdel Farhoud is now in the custody of House Speaker, Nabih Berri, and the pillars of the Lebanese state, with the consensus of all national, Lebanese, and Palestinian political forces.”       =============R.H.

NNA - The Commander of the Palestinian Joint Force in Ain al-Hilweh Camp, Major General Abu Ghassan Al-Ajouri, on Saturday, held a preparatory meeting for officers deployed from the factions and national and Islamic forces in the force’s leadership, whereby he briefed them on the action plan for positioning and deploying at points that were identified in agreement with the Joint Action Command. This meeting came in preparation for moving to position and deploying at other points according to a timetable agreed upon with the political leadership.   =========R.Sh.

NNA - The Chairman of the Lebanese-Palestinian Dialogue Committee, Dr. Bassel Al-Hassan, on Friday received at the Committee’s bureau at the gov serail, the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka. Discussions reportedly touched on the situation of Palestinian refugees in Lebanon, especially the residents of Ain al-Hilweh refugee camp, in light of recent incidents, in addition to completing efforts to implement the national strategy developed by the committee. ———————- L.Y

NNA - Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati on Wednesday continued his meetings and talks in New York on the sidelines of his participation in the 78th UN General Assembly. Mikati held a joint meeting with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Talks touched on an array of affairs on common interest. Mikati also held bilateral talks with President Abbas over the Palestinian situation, especially the latest events in the refugee camp of Ain el-Hilweh. During the meeting, Abbas stressed that he had given instructions to end the fighting, respect the Lebanese law, and coordinate with the Lebanese state. For his part, Mikati highlighted the necessity of ceasing the military acts and cooperating with the Lebanese security apparatuses to address the current tensions. "What happened does not serve the Palestinian Cause; it constitutes an insult to the Lebanese state in general, and to the city of Saida in particular. Separately, Mikati held talks with his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Shia' Al Sudani, whom he invited to visit Lebanon soon.                         ==============R.A.H.

NNA - House Speaker, Nabih Berri, on Tuesday received at the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh, the Executive of Wayne County of the US state of Michigan, Warren Evans, and his deputy (an American of Lebanese origin from the city of Bint Jbeil) Asaad Tarfa, in the presence of “Sada Al-Watan” publisher Osama Al-Seblani. Speaker Berri later received former MP Yassin Jaber and discussed with him the general situation and political and economic developments. Berri also met with a delegation from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, with  discussions reportedly touching on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories and the situation in the Palestinian refugee camp of Ain el-Hilweh.  ——————- L.Y

NNA - The “Fatah” movement announced a change in the leadership of the Palestinian National Security in Sidon, where Muhammad Fahd Al-Kadiri was appointed instead of Abu Iyad Al-Shaalan as its new leader, as the latter served on a temporary basis succeeding Major General Abu Ashraf Al-Armushi, who was assassinated with four of his companions inside the Ain Al-Hilweh camp last July. Al-Shaalan remains in his organizational role, where he holds the position of commander of the militia forces and a member of the Fatah district committee.   ========R.Sh.
