Father Mansour Labaky priest whose Maronite parish was bombed during the Lebanon civil war and the Kfar Sama orphanage he created to care for the children whose parents were among the 582 killed during the storming of their village.
It is emphasized that despite their tragic losses the children have been raised to forgive those responsible.
Over hundreds of years and between a forest of trees "Kfar Sama" is located, a piece of heaven on earth where it gathers a big number of institutions like: Saint Mary Orphanage House (1977), Sesobel (1986), Saint Mary Orphanage House in France (1990-1998)…
Father Labaky in his interview with the National News Agency said "this town is built with few donations from European children".
Kfar Sama is a village that overlooks the sea, hosts visitors and different kinds of activities throughout the year.
This village due to its lovely location receives scouts group, summer camps, meetings and conferences for the youth, in addition to weddings in token prices.
Labaky taught the villagers to forgive and live in peace and said "I have started my work by raising and educating girls and boys from all sects and different backgrounds and now they grew up and became doctors and lawyers".
He added that he taught the children to be honest, respect others and to be humble, content and satisfied with what they have. Also he planted in their minds the idea of aiding others.
On the other hand, "the peace of heaven village", Kfar Sama, gathers small churches for Armenians, Greek Orthodox churches while maronites are minorities although Labaky is maronite, in addition to the Shiite presence in the neighboring villages.
Finally, Labaky was asked if he knew despair in his heart, he said, "despair is a sin more than killing or adultery because it means the killing of the holy spirit inside of you", adding that "big saints made mistakes but did not despair".
