NNA - US officials reported that the World Food Program had agreed to help deliver aid to civilians in the Gaza Strip as soon as the US army completed a pier to transport humanitarian aid by sea, according to "Russia Today".

The Associated Press said, "US officials and the World Food Program are working on how to deliver aid to Palestinian civilians in an independent, neutral and impartial manner."

For its part, the US Agency for International Development confirmed to the Associated Press that it “will partner with the World Food Program to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza via the sea corridor.”

The agency added that this is a "complex process" that requires coordination between many partners, and talks are continuing, throughout Gaza, to ensure the safety and security of workers in the field.
