NNA - On Friday, the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised French citizens not to travel to Iran, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories, amid Iran’s threats to Israel, according to “Sky News Arabia.”

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said, in a statement on the “X” platform: “The relatives of diplomats residing in Iran will return to France.”

It added: "It has also become prohibited for French civil servants to carry out any tasks in Iran, Lebanon, Israel and the Palestinian territories."

This decision, which was taken “during a crisis meeting,” came at a time when Iran threatened to strike Israel, which was blamed for an attack that targeted the Iranian consulate in Damascus on April 1.

Tehran said that it would respond to Tel Aviv at the “appropriate time and place,” stressing that retaliation for that operation would be “harsh.”
