NNA - The Russian authorities announced the evacuation of 711 people, including 201 children, from the Old City area in the city of Orsk, amid the continuing rise in water levels in a flood caused by a dam collapse yesterday evening, acording to "Russia Today."

The Russian Emergencies Ministry said it was using boats and all-terrain vehicles in the evacuation process, adding that many who had previously refused to evacuate were now asking rescuers to move them to safe areas.
