NNA - One person was feared dead and more than 50 people were injured in Taiwan during a massive earthquake on Wednesday, according to information released by Taipei's emergency operations centre.

"One person is suspected dead" after being crushed by a boulder on a hiking trail in mountainous Hualien county, said the emergency operations centre, referring to the epicentre of the earthquake. ---AFP
