NNA - Beirut Metropolitan, Archbishop Elias Audi, on Friday welcomed the Secretary General of the Synod of Bishops, Cardinal Mario Gresh, accompanied by Archbishop Boulos Abdel-Sater, Archbishop Mounir Khairallah, Father Richard Abi Saleh and Father Kabi Hashem. In the wake of the meeting, Gresh delivered the following word: «I  am  very  grateful  that  I  was  welcomed  by  my  brother  the  Metropolitan  of  Beirut,  Elias.  As  you  may know,  the  Catholic  church  is  presently  involved  in  a  synodal  process,  and  an  important  dimension  of  this  process  is  the  ecumenical  dimension.  By  visiting  my  brother  Metropolitan  Elias,  and my  sister  church,  I  want  to  send  a  message  to  all,  that  during  this  synodal process,  which  is  a  listening  process,  we  are  open  to  listen  to  our  brothers  and  sisters.  We  believe  that  we  have  a  lot  to  learn  from  their  synodal  heritage.»
