NNA - Former Minister and MP Walid Jumblatt cabled today the head of the Hamas Political Bureau, Ismail Haniyeh, offering his condolences for the martyrdom of his sons and members of their families.

The cable said: “With deep regret, I have learned of the martyrdom of your sons Hazem, Amir, Muhammad, and members of their families as a result of the ongoing brutal Israeli aggression on Gaza, as well as on the West Bank and on the rest of the Palestinian people...As I extend my sincere condolences to you, hoping that God will shower them with abundant mercy, I also offer my condolences to the steadfast and struggling Palestinian people for all the martyrs who died in the war of annihilation waged by the Israeli occupation forces in light of the most dangerous conspiracy taking place against Palestine and the cause of its people...."

Jumblatt hailed the steadfastness and resistance of the Palestinians, expressing his confidence that they will triumph over the Israeli killing machine, no matter how long the occupation lasts.

He prayed for mercy to be upon all fallen martyrs of Palestine, and wished for a speedy recovery for all the wounded and freedom for the prisoners and detainees, hoping that this painful ordeal for the Palestinian people will end as soon as possible.
