NNA - Member of the "Democratic Gathering" parliamentary bloc, MP Wael Abu Faour, met today with the United Nations Special Coordinator in Lebanon, Joanna Wronecka, during which local and regional developments were discussed.

Abu Faour said: "It is clear that the Israeli enemy is seeking a war in Lebanon as a result of the blockage of its crimes in occupied Palestine." Therefore, he underlined that national responsibility requires a "responsible stance" to remove the war pretexts by “implementing UN Resolution 1701 in a way that preserves the sovereignty of Lebanon and the safety of its people, especially the people of the south.”

"The international community is required to exert more pressure on the Israeli occupation to stop its ongoing crimes against the Palestinian people," the MP emphasized.
