NNA – Caretaker Minister of Youth and Sports, George Kallas, congratulated Lebanon's delegation to the Special Olympics World Games for the successes it achieved in the German capital, Berlin.

Kallas also congratulated the Lebanese champion, Aziza Sbeiti, for winning the gold medal in the 200m race at the Arab Athletics Championships.

"Sbeity's winning the gold medal and the Lebanese delegation winning 11 medals come despite the difficult, even harsh conditions that our country is going through,” Kallas said, commending the remarkable achievements of the athletes and their administrators, and every athlete who represents Lebanon abroad.

Lebanon won two gold medals (table tennis - long jump), three silver medals (badminton - swimming), and six bronze medals (table tennis - athletics - swimming).
