NNA - Maronite Patriarch Beshara Rai stressed need to approve a new electoral law that would satisfy and unite all the Lebanese.



"All political sides should approve a law that suits Lebanon and citizens and not suits one political team, Rai stressed.



Rai made these remarks at Rafik Hariri International Airport before heading to Russia upon an invitation from Russian Patriarch Kirill first.



Rai stressed that Christians and Muslims should endorse an electoral law that restores balance, adding that Orthodox law would grant rights to Muslims and Christians alike.



Rai described Lebanon as a "bird" with two wings one for Muslim and the other for Christian and the bird cannot fly with one wing.



"These two wings are not equal and are not parallel," he asserted, adding that the electoral law would be the best way to restore balance.
