NNA - Head of the Kataeb Party, Amine Gemayel, said the parliamentary elections must take place on their due date so as to avoid destruction at the local scene.
Gemayel's fresh stance came Monday in the context of a press conference held at his office.
Gemayel called for a consensus on an electoral law that ensures fair and popular representation, indicating that the Orthodox Gathering law is not the crucial problem in the country.
"The problem is that the political forces are not being able to reach an agreement over an elections law to let elections take place on their due date."
Gemayel pointed out to some tepidity in the coalition structure of March 14 camp "which is just temporal and will hopefully turn back to its original strong shape as soon as a consensus on the electoral law will be reached, especially that March 14 sides agree on essential national titles."
