NNA - House Speaker, Nabih Berri, stressed upon the necessity for Britain, the European Union and the international community to work for dialogue and political solution in Syria so as "to safeguard Lebanon and the region from what is more dangerous."



Berri received on Thursday at his residence in Ain Tineh the British Foreign Minister, William Hague, and the British Ambassador to Lebanon, Tom Fletcher, and reviewed with them overall developments at the local and regional scenes.



Hague underlined Britain's keenness on supporting Lebanon's stability and solving the Syrian displaced persons issue.
