NNA - Prime Minister, Najib Mikati, met Thursday with Fatwa Secretary in the North, Sheikh Mohammed Imam, and Islamic Awqaf Department Head, Hussam Sbat, at his residence in Tripoli.



Talks reportedly touched on Islamic 'awqaf' related issues and developments on the Lebanese scene, especially Arsal incident and civil marriage.



Premier Mikati extended greetings to Mufti of Tripoli and the North, Sheikh Malek Shaar, via Sheikh Imam. Mikati wished Mufti Shaar would return to Tripoli as soon as possible.



Sheik Imam quoted Mikati's affirmation that he would work to secure all needed measures around the house of Mufti Shaar and Dar al-Fatwa to ensure Shaar's safety.
