NNA - Delegations continued Monday to arrive in Mreijat town to offer condolences for the martyrdom of Captain Pierre Bashaalani who got killed in an ambush set for the Lebanese Army in Arsal.



Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn, Interior Minister Marwan Charbel, Justice Minister Shakib Qortbawi, and Internal Security Chief Major General Ashraf Rifi topped the visiting delegations.



As paying condolences, Charbel stressed the necessity to deal with this issue with rationality, calling to cast aside politicization and sectarianism.



He pointed out that arrest warrants were ruled against a number of culprits involved in this affair, saying that the judiciary is indeed assuming its duty.



"The investigations are in the hands of the judiciary now and any warrants to be issued will be executed by the Interior Ministry," he indicated.



"This incident was perpetrated against the Lebanese Army and investigations must unearth the truth," he concluded.
