NNA - The Judicial Studies Institute launched Tuesday a new program funded by the European Union on permanent training for the judicial personnel in Lebanon, in presence of Justice Minister Shakib Qortbawi, State Minister Mohammad Fneish, EU Ambassador to Lebanon Angelina Eichhorst, and panel of personalities.
The 900-thousand-euro program aims at contributing to enhance the professional skills of judges, lawyers, legal assistants, notaries, coroners, and jurists through a permanent training.
"The European Union will continue, throughout the coming years, and within the European neighborhood policy, to uphold the Lebanese judiciary," Eichhorst stressed.
This initiative is also aimed at encouraging exchanges between Lebanese jurists and their European counterparts.
