NNA - Interior and Municipalities Minister, Marwan Charbel, stressed that he "relies on citizens of Kfardebian and Kesserwan in critical times, since they are known for their respect and devotion to the State." He added that amidst the difficult circumstances witnessed at the current phase, such incidents ought not to be allowed to develop into huge problems; relying herein on Kfardebian citizens' wisdom and insight, noted Charbel.


Charbel's words came in the wake of the incident with Sheikh Ahmad Al-Assir on Thursday. He disclosed that he contacted MP Michel Aoun in this respect, who stressed that there is no cover to Kfardebian's incident. Aoun assured Charbel that Sheikh Farid Haikal Al-Khazen would be on his way to the clash scene, in order to help in solving the problem.
