NNA - Speaker of the House, Nabih Berri, highlighted on Wednesday the necessity to conduct the legislative polls on time, reiterating his support for any electoral law that would enjoy the agreement of Christians.



"The Speaker is not downbeat on the meetings of the subcommittee tasked with studying an electoral law," Wednesday Deputies said.



"The best law is that which enjoys the unanimity an agreement of the Lebanese," they quoted him as saying.



Separately, Speaker Berri met today with MP Simon Abi Ramia.



Earlier today, he met with the Norwegian Deputy Foreign Minister, Torgeir Larsen.



The pair reportedly discussed the current general situation and most recent developments in Lebanon and the broader Arab region.
