NNA - The National Liberal Party on Friday voiced support to the small-sized districts' law.
NLP held on Friday, its weekly meeting chaired by its leader Dory Chamoun.
"This project ensures a fair representation. It embodies the common denominator between the government's proportional representation and the Orthodox Gathering law," members said following the meeting.
NLP urged the Parliament "to assume its responsibility.
The party said legislation should take place as scheduled and said they were waiting for the Parliament's plenary session to be held, since it was the sole authority to vote on any project.
The NLP commented on the information diffused by certain media institutions about the infiltration of armed elements, affiliated with the Syrian regime, into North and Mount Lebanon regions, to sabotage the security and accuse extremist organizations of it.
"These information complete the terrorist plan of Mamlouk," they remarked and called on the security to increase efforts to foil this project.
