NNA - General Jamil Sayyed, former head of the Lebanese General Security Directorate, handed on Tuesday, the Attorney General Hatem Madi, with an original copy, on CD recordings, of four recent conversations between MP Okab Sakr and armed groups in Syria.



According to a statement issued by his press office, General Sayyed explained that the objective of this approach was to allow the court to fulfill its job, mainly in terms of the complaint filed by former Prime Minister Saad Hariri and MP Sakr against Al-Akhbar newspaper and OTV television channel, for manipulating telephone records, so as to accuse Sakr of delivering weapons to the Syrian opposition.



General Sayyed noted that the recordings were pretty clear and do not show the MP sending "as he claims" milk and blankets to the Syrians," but rather the "sophisticated military equipment that can work miracles."
