NNA - The embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon announced in a statement Friday that ambassadors of Syria, China and Russia convened at the residence of Iranian ambassador to Lebanon and concluded that the bloodshed in Syria must end and a political solution must be reached.


The gatherers accused foreign states of supporting the attack on the Syrian regime with money and arms; hence, fueling strife in said country.


"A political solution must be reached in Syria as the only way out of the crisis," confirmed the diplomats.


They asserted the urgent need for dialogue to ensue, which would lead to free and fair parliamentary elections, followed by presidential elections that would take place on time and decide the political future of Syria.


The four ambassadors also urged the media to relay information accurately.
