NNA - In an issued statement by Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri's media bureau on Sunday, it indicated that Hariri has contacted Army Commander, General Jean Kahwaji, and Internal Security Director General, Brigadier General Ashraf Reefy. Hariri stressed the need for immediate measures by the military and security forces in halting the deteriorating security conditions in Tripoli. He urged them to adopt the necessary strict measures against those tampering with security in the City of Tripoli.


Meanwhile, Hariri urged all citizens of Tripoli to practice self-restraint, patience and remain united in fighting against any and all conspiracy plots targeting their City.


Hariri also praised stances by Tripoli deputies and dignitaries in defending the City's interests through calling on the State, military institution and security apparatuses concerned to shoulder their responsibilities towards the City.
