NNA - Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian received Vice President of Lebanon's Supreme Islamic Shia Council, Sheikh Ali Khatib.

IRNA reported that Amirabdollahian "conveyed his greetings to the resistant people of Lebanon from various tribes, and sent greetings and support to the martyrs of the resistance, especially the recent martyrs of the Lebanese resistance against the aggression of the Zionist regime, who are a source of encouragement for the people of Palestine.

He considered Lebanon's resistance to the Palestinian people to be a matter of pride.

He also appreciated the role, efforts and positions of Sheikh Ali al-Khatib in supporting the resistance and strengthening the unity between the different tribes of Lebanon and confronting the seditiousness of the enemies and the important role of Lebanon and the resistance of the Lebanese people in the process of recent developments."
