NNA - The Embassy of India in Lebanon on Wednesday joined via its twitter account the Indian nation in mourning the tragic death of India’s military chief, Gen. Bipin Rawat, and 12 others, who were killed Wednesday in a helicopter crash in southern Tamil Nadu state. 

“The Embassy joins the nation in mourning the sad and untimely demise of CDS General Bipin Rawat, Mrs Rawat, and other armed forces officials in a tragic helicopter crash today.

General Rawat was an exceptional soldier, and as the first CDS, led our armed forces with exemplary leadership,” the Indian Embassy in Lebanon tweeted.
