NNA - Maronite Patriarch Bechara Boutros Rahi, accompanied by bishops, visited on Friday the oflocalities Abdeen and Kanyour, as part of his pastoral tours in the villages of Bcharreh.
After visiting Kanyour locality where he stressed the need to focus on the land which is the identity of believers, the Patriarch headed to Abdeen where he presided over a Mass at the Church of St. Saba.
After reading a verse from the Bible, he spoke lengthily on the meaning of Transfiguration.
The head of the Maronite Church thanked all those who contributed to the success of this visit.
"The people of Abdeen have sacrificed a lot of their sons for their country. Cling to the land of your ancestors and their faith," he finally proclaimed.
