Derian discusses economic situation with Salameh

NNA - Mufti of the Lebanese Republic Sheikh Abdel Latif Derian on Saturday welcomed at Dar El-Fatwa the governor of Lebanon Central Bank, Riad Salameh, with discussions reportedly featuring high on the economic situation of the country.

Salameh said in the wake of the meeting that he briefed his Eminence on the financial, monetary and economic projects which the Central Bank is supporting in order to improve domestic demand and induce economic growth.

Derian also welcomed the president of "Direct Aid Organization" in Scotland, Denis Rutovitz, heading an accompanied delegation from the Organization who informed his Eminence on the donations which they would distribute in Lebanon in cooperation with Dar El-Fatwa.

Discussions also explored the best means possible to assist the needy and the poor in Lebanon.
