Qabalan confirmed that Muslims should work together to preserve Lebanon and fortify national unity.
Qabalan said that Muslims and Christians should work hand in hand to confront strife and preserve Lebanon, its stability and security.
In his turn, Derian underscored the importance of Islamic unity in Lebanon and the region, indicating that he and Sheikh Abdel Amir Qabalan agreed that the Islamic unity should not be limited to theories and slogans and should be practiced by all Muslims.
"We agreed that the Islamic speech at this stage and the upcoming one is to be a tolerant moderate one, free from any sectarian provocations," his Beatitude said.
Derian added that after the extension of the parliament's mandate, the parliament should speed up the election of a new president, noting that if the election of a new president has not been accomplished, Lebanon would be subject to grave possibilities.
The Sheikh said, "We, all Arabs and honest Muslims in the world would not allow the Israeli enemy to Judaize Al-Quds," assuring that the arising terrorism does not represent any religion and "we all, Muslims and Christians, should confront it (...) because its danger befell on us all."
