NNA – House Speaker Nabih Berri said, in a televised address to the Lebanese on Wednesday, that Lebanon managed to abort the effects of the Israeli aggression.

“This moment is a test for all the Lebanese to rescue their country and protect its constitutional institutions,” he said.

“W turn the page on a historic moment that was the most dangerous as it threatened Lebanon, its people and its history,” he added.

“The war showed the true face of Lebanon in terms of national unity,” he continued.

He also called for expediting the election of a president of the republic.

Moreover, Berri saluted “the martyr of the nation, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, who entrusted me with the political resistance.”
