NNA – Sheikh Akl of the Druze Unitarian Community, Dr. Sami Abi Al-Muna, condemned in a statement “the Israeli attack on the southern suburbs of Beirut and the new blatant violation of international laws and human rights.”
While Sheikh Akl Abi Al-Muna offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished the wounded a speedy recovery, he reiterated his call for “halting the war immediately and stopping the bloodshed and the killing of women, elderly people and children in Haret Hreik, Gaza and Majdal Shams.”
Sheikh Abi Al-Muna also condemned the assassination of the head of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, the martyr Ismail Haniyeh, and his companion, and offered his condolences to the “steadfast Palestinian people, in general, and the Hamas movement and the Palestinian resistance in the face of the Israeli aggression, in particular.”
