NNA - Major General, Abbas Ibrahim, on Thursday received French Ambassador to Lebanon, Herve Magro, with whom he discussed the developments on both regional and international fronts, particularly France's concern to prevent escalation on the southern front in Lebanon. 

This concern arises following Israel's persistent violation of UN resolutions, notably Resolution 1701, and its continual encroachment upon Lebanese sovereignty. 

The latest episode of this aggression occurred two days ago in the southern suburbs of Beirut, resulting in the assassination of Saleh al-Arouri, the Deputy Head of Hamas Political Bureau.
