NNA – Deputy Head of the Higher Islamic Shiite Council, Sheikh Ali Al-Khatib, on Tuesday received at the Council’s headquarters, Qatari Ambassador to Lebanon, Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Sahlawi, accompanied by Counselor Mishaal Al-Kuwari, who came on an acquaintance visit.

Discussions reportedly touched on the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, and ways to bolster relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

Sheikh Al-Khatib welcomed the newly appointed Ambassador and wished him success in his new mission and in strengthening the bilateral relations. Al-Khatib thanked the State of Qatar for its permanent support for Lebanon.
