NNA - "Beirut remains the capital of taste and tasting" will be the slogan of the Horeca exhibition which will be taking place from the 5th till the 8th of April in BIEL, Beirut.
The exhibition includes 350 local and international exhibitors and renowned French, Italian, American and Arab chefs.
Executive Director of Hospitality Services, Joumana Salame Dammous, said in an interview with the National News Agency, that the number of expected visitors is 15000, noting that the exhibitor has the opportunity to look on the latest developments and new inventions in the sector.
Daily competitions between restaurants, hotels and hotel academies will also be held on the sidelines of the exhibition.
The olive oil competition has been the most popular for the last 11 years. It is sponsored by the Ministry of Agriculture in the presence of Lebanese olive oil producers and representatives of cooperatives and the private sector.
Workshops will be held every day between 3:00 pm and 9:00 pm.
For his part, the head of the restaurants and nightclubs union, patissier Tony Rami, said the audit on rates continues permanently and that the decline in employment was due to the closure of some restaurants because of the country's instability.
