NNA - The Army Command - Orientation Directorate issued on Wednesday the following statement:



"Army units continue to deploy and intensify their actions in different areas of Tripoli, which have been witnessing clashes and sniping acts for the past few days. One of the LAF troop carriers was targeted, in the locality of Mallouleh at 6:40 in the morning, by a rocket launched from the Tebbeneh - Bazar neighborhood by gunmen under the command of Talal Issa. The rocket injured three soldiers; two of them are in serious condition. An Army vehicle was also targeted by shooting from the same area, around 7:35 at Abu Ali roundabout, which led to the injury of a LAF member. Gunmen located in the 'vegetable market', belonging to the group of Mahmoud Hallak (known as Abu Khalil) and Mohammad Mustafa Al-Nuhaili launched a rocket-propelled grenade towards an Army patrol which caused the injury of four soldiers."



The military forces responded to the sources of the shooting and tracked the shooters in a bid to arrest them and refer them to the competent court.
