NNA - French President Emmanuel Macron confirmed during a call with his Iranian counterpart, Masoud Pezeshkian, today that Europeans will "accelerate negotiations" with Tehran amid the ongoing war between Israel and the Islamic Republic.

Macron explained in a post on the X platform that accelerating the pace of negotiations aims to "get out of the war and avoid greater risks," noting that he informed Pezeshkian of his "deep concern about the Iranian nuclear program," reiterating that Tehran "cannot obtain a nuclear weapon" and must "provide all guarantees (to confirm) that its goals (from the nuclear program) are peaceful."
