NNA - Elon Musk, head of the US Department of Government Efficiency, criticized Vladimir Zelensky's focus during his meeting with President Donald Trump on asking for more money and continuing the fighting, instead of seeking peace, according to "Russia Today".

Musk commented on a post on the "X" platform that includes part of the meeting between Trump and Zelensky at the White House: "Trump insisted on a ceasefire that would stop the meat grinder, while Zelensky wanted to get new money to continue it."

Zelensky had arrived at the White House on Friday to sign the metals agreement that a number of his ministers had approved earlier this week, and to hold talks with the US side on resolving the conflict in Ukraine.

As they sat in the Oval Office, Trump scolded Zelensky, asking him to be more “grateful,” saying, “You are not in a position to tell us how we should feel,” adding, “Your people are very brave, but either you make a deal or we will walk away, and if we walk away, you will fight to the end.” The meeting turned into a verbal altercation between them.

News agencies reported that Zelensky left the White House "expelled" and without signing the agreement, and the joint press conference scheduled for Trump and Zelensky after the talks were completed was canceled.

After the altercation, Trump told reporters that he did not see Zelensky as willing to settle the conflict with Russia, that Ukraine would not be able to win the conflict with Russia without Washington's support, and that it should immediately consider stopping hostilities.

After the meeting, Musk said Zelensky had destroyed himself in the eyes of the American people and called for a review of military aid to Ukraine.

"It's time to find out what really happened to the hundreds of billions of dollars that were transferred to Ukraine," he said on his X account.
