NNA - A 5.7-magnitude earthquake struck the Indonesian island of Java today, less than two weeks after another earthquake in the same region killed more than 320 people, the US Geological Survey said, according to AFP.
The American agency stated that the epicenter of the quake was located 18 km southeast of the city of Banjar in West Java.
The Indonesian Meteorological Agency said, for its part, that "the magnitude of the earthquake was more severe and amounted to 6.4 degrees, and led to the shaking of buildings in the capital, Jakarta.
