NNA - Moscow - Russia handed over today the first Russian passports to residents of the city of Kherson occupied by Russian forces in southern Ukraine, Agence France-Presse reported, quoting Russian news agencies.
 
According to the official TASS news agency, 23 residents of Kherson received a Russian passport during a ceremony, according to a simplified procedure provided by a decree signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the end of May.
