NNA - Caretaker Minister of Education, Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi, on Tuesday welcomed in his office Sultanate of Oman's Ambassador to Lebanon, Ahmad Mohammad Al-Saidi, who paid him an acquaintance visit, during which they discussed the bilateral educational and university relations between the two countries.

Ambassador Al-Saidi hailed the bilateral relations with Lebanon at all levels, expressing his hope that "the memorandum of understanding between the two countries will be renewed at the level of educational and university relations.”

On the other hand, Caretaker Minister Al-Halabi met with British Ambassador to Lebanon, Hamish Cowell, with whom he followed up on the educational situation in light of the ongoing strike in public schools and public administrations in the country.

Ambassador Cowell handed Minister Al-Halabi an invitation to participate in the World Conference for Ministers of Education, which is held annually in the British capital.
