NNA - Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Abbas Al-Halabi, participated in the World Conference for Ministers of Education and Higher Education, currently taking place in London.
Minister Al-Halabi is accompanied by the Prime Minister's Adviser for Educational Affairs, Dr. Hiba Nashabe, UNESCO’S Senior Adviser for Education in the Arab States, Fadi Yarak, and British Council Lebanon Director, David Knox.
Upon his arrival in the British capital, Minister Al-Halabi was received by Lebanon's Ambassador to London, Rami Mortada.
Numerous Education ministers and international educational and academic personalities partook in the opening session of the Conference, who will be addressing the future of education after the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Conference is scheduled to last for several days, with Minister Al-Halabi set to give a presentation on the educational situation in Lebanon and the challenges it faces, in addition to the Ministry’s five-year plan, and aspirations towards providing the elements to ensure the continuity of education for all, especially in the upcoming academic year.
Minister Al-Halabi’s itinerary also includes sideline meetings and encounters.
