NNA - Minister of Culture, Judge Mohammad Wissam Mortada, on Friday welcomed a delegation representing “Assorestauro”, an Italian Association for Architectural, Artistic and Urban Restoration, accompanied by Italian Ambassador to Lebanon, Nicoletta Bombardiere.

During the meeting, Minister Mortada thanked Italy for its cultural activities in Lebanon, as well as for its support for cultural heritage in the country.

In turn, the Italian diplomat thanked Minister Mortada for his cooperation, stressing "Italy's commitment to cooperate with Lebanon, especially in the field of restoring archaeological sites."  She also explained to the accompanying delegation the strong relationship between the Ministry of Culture and the Italian Embassy in Beirut.

Bombardiere then extended an invitation to the Minister of Culture to attend the conference of Euro-Mediterranean culture ministers, which will be held in Naples on June 16, 2022.
