NNA - Caretaker Minister of Education, Hassan Diab, is safe and sound and has not had any car accident, Media Bureau of the Ministry of Education & Higher Learning declared on Thursday in response to circulated fabricated news.



"An anonymous party circulated short text messages via cell phones saying that MTV channel had broadcasted news that caretaker Minister of Education and Higher Learning, Professor Hassan Diab, had had a car accident that led to his death; and after communicating with MTV News Directorate it confirmed that this news is fabricated ... and immediately broadcasted a retract to the news content," the Media Office of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education said in a statement.



The Ministry asked the security apparatuses to pursue those who fabricated and circulated that news and punish them.
