NNA - Minister of Labor, Dr. Mohammad Haydar, received Mohamed Wissam Ghouzayel, the Honorary Consul General of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal in Lebanon, at his office at the Ministry.

The meeting focused on revitalizing the Memorandum of Understanding between Lebanon and Nepal regarding the employment of domestic workers.

H.E. the Consul informed the Minister that the Nepalese authorities have no objection to allowing their citizens to work in Lebanon, provided that legal protections are ensured. This could be achieved either by including domestic workers within the framework of Lebanon's labor law or through a bilateral agreement that guarantees the rights and responsibilities of both parties and safeguards the interests of Nepalese nationals.

He also conveyed warm greetings from officials at Nepal's Ministry of Labor, reaffirming their continued appreciation for Lebanon and their commitment to strengthening mutual cooperation.

For his part, Minister Haydar expressed Lebanon's interest in welcoming the Nepalese Minister of Labor on an official visit to Beirut in the near future, in order to further enhance technical and humanitarian collaboration between the two friendly nations.
