Alfa, Touch employees start open strike, suspend all services

NNA - The employees of “Alfa" and "Touch" mobile networks on Friday kicked off an open strike, which led to the closure of all corporate stores, bill payment services, and halted the distribution of prepaid cards.

This strike takes place as the cabinet holds its last session to discuss many items, including a decree to amend the telecommunications tariff.

Meanwhile, the employees' union called for a gathering in front of Alfa’s Furn Al Chebbak building starting at 1:00 p.m. in an escalating move to demand the sector’s full rights.
